2023 Party Potion Blend
Tres Hermanas & Nolan Ranch Vineyard
Santa Barbara County
The "Party Potion" Issue
Alc. 12% by vol.
The Vintage:
The vineyards received some early rain in the late winter/ early Spring, giving the vines some much needed rains that we haven't seen for quite sometime. This rain plus a cooler Spring pushed the vines to wake up a little later than what we normally see. The growing seasoned proved to be on average with very few heat spikes, even the classic Labor Day heat never came. This led to mid/late October harvest for all the grapes.
The Vineyard:
All of them, it's a Party! The two vineyards we used for this vintage were: Tres Hermanas (Chenin 33%) and Nolan Ranch (Clairette 33% & Mencia 34%). Not to get into the weeds, feel free to look up those wines to see info on these awesome vineyards!
The Process:
Same as above, feel free to look up the details on the other wines. But the moment you've all been waiting for, here's how we come up with the Party... After we remove the wine from the barrels and bottle, there's always a little bit left. So we take those leftovers and maybe a little more and just throw them together. TA DA! Ya nothing crazy here, just taking equal parts of all the vintage wines and smoosh them together. Party Time!
The Wine:
Up front on the nose you get hints of strawberry, Lightning, sour apple, bag of rocks from Home Depot. On the pallet also fruity, light, watermelon jolly rancher, cranberry with a hint of stick.
Additional Notes:
Chill it, Flip it, Repeat
Chilled Red Wine. Throw it in the fridge or cooler and crush it at the Party, or have a Party just cause!

About the Label:
To keep in line with all the winemaking... throw them all together... We did just that for the label. Pure Party! Elements of each label reside throughout, some reversed some the same. Just keeping the Party Alive!
